Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation supports “Restore Forest” Beach Volleyball Tournament and Reforestation Initiative

Sport, community spirit, and environmental action came together in a powerful way through the “Restore Forest” Corporate Beach Volleyball Tournament, an initiative organised by ECOmbare and Beach Volleyball Limassol with the support of Exinity and Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation as Title Sponsors. Designed as a fundraising effort, the tournament united companies, volunteers, and local stakeholders to contribute to the restoration of Cyprus’s forest ecosystem, which has experienced extensive damage due to wildfires in recent years.

The friendly 4×4 tournament gathered twelve corporate teams, including Exinity. Their participation demonstrated the growing commitment to meaningful sustainability initiatives and community-driven action. The event was honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Limassol, Mr. Yiannis Armeftis, and the President of the Limassol District Local Government Organisation, Mr. Yiannis Tsoulouftas, who both expressed their support for projects that strengthen the environmental resilience of the region.

Thanks to the funds raised, 140 trees were planted in an alley in the mountains near the Agia Elisavet Church in Agios Amvrosios, revitalizing the burned slopes with cutting-edge Groasis Waterboxx technology.

Over 200 enthusiastic volunteers not only planted trees but also learned the Waterboxx technique and received guidance on caring for their saplings throughout the year. Each planted tree was assigned a unique identification number for year-round care and monitoring, and ensuring that every participant remains actively connected to its growth.

Members of the Exinity executive team, their families, and representatives of the Andrey & Julia Dashin Foundation joined the planting, reinforcing the shared belief that environmental responsibility is a collective effort. Together, they installed 30 Waterboxx units and unveiled a commemorative plaque bearing the names of Exinity and the Foundation, a symbolic reminder of their joint commitment to nurturing Cyprus’s natural landscape.

Natalia Ryaba, Head of the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, noting that “the beauty of this project lies in how naturally it brought people together, through sport and a shared love for the environment. Supporting efforts that restore the land we all call home is our collective responsibility.”

Andrey Dashin also highlighted the Foundation’s dedication to long-term environmental work, stating that “Sustainability begins with action, and action grows stronger when people join forces. This initiative is more than a planting effort; it is a promise to future generations. We are proud to contribute and even prouder to see so many individuals and companies embrace a greener vision for Cyprus.”

The collaboration between ECOmbare, Exinity, and the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation showcases what can be achieved when community, corporate responsibility, and practical environmental solutions come together. The success of both the tournament and the reforestation initiative proves that sustainability is not a concept but a shared movement, one built through teamwork, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to protect the island’s natural heritage.

Through this joint effort, Cyprus’s forests take one more meaningful step toward recovery, and the community strengthens its commitment to a greener, healthier future for all.
