On the 16th of December, The Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation took part in a Christmas Charity Bazaar organised by the ‘Raise Awareness Initiative’ team of the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus, otherwise known as UCLAN Cyprus.
On the 9th of December 2016, I met with Limassol’s mayor, Mr. Andreas Christou, to personally deliver a large amount of brand new school bags, stationary, classroom supplies and a cheque of 5,000 euro to support the social initiatives of his city. This donation was done as part of our foundation’s Christmas Campaign which already saw the collaboration with the Cyprus Red Cross Society for the donation of 30,000 euros for the distribution of “1000 Packages of Love” and 1000 gift vouchers, to children in primary and middle schools all over Cyprus.
On the 1st of December, otherwise known as World AIDS day, the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation showed its support for all people with HIV and AIDS and their families by sponsoring a charity fashion show which was organized by KYFA, the Support Centre for people with HIV or AIDS in Cyprus.
At a time where every little bit can help, any kind of information no matter how big or small is important in helping others gain access to better awareness, understanding, knowledge, tools and support needed when they come faced with certain situations.
Being at a position where you can give a child or a parent a reason to smile, especially during the festive season, is one of the biggest reasons why my wife and I created the foundation. This year we joined forces with the Cyprus Red Cross Society to bring a little bit of Christmas magic to the homes of 1,000 underprivileged families across the island.
November welcomed another award for FXTM, this time by the renowned Global Brands Magazine – a popular periodical based in the UK. Global Brands awarded FXTM as the “Best Forex Brand, Nigeria” for 2016, alongside other internationally-acclaimed brands such as Microsoft, Harley Davidson and Ford, to name a few.
