“Our goal is to ensure that no child is deprived of the joy of participating in the biggest sporting event in Cyprus, which is held in the city we proudly call home.” says Dashin’s Foundation co-founder Andrey Dashin. He adds: “We want to help more and more children integrate exercise into their everyday lives, but also take on the values of noble rivalry and participation.”
Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation is a very active charity organization with a multifaceted contribution to the Cypriot community and sport initiatives across the island.
“Getting young people into running”
“The most important service the OPAP Marathon Limassol GSO can offer to the Cypriot society is the incentive to change our way of life with the inclusion of exercise in our daily routine. This effort begins with children and young people. We want to get young people into running. We are very pleased that the Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation share this vision, giving the opportunity to hundreds of children to take part in this grand event”, said the head of the Organizing Committee of the OPAP Limassol Marathon, Spyros Spyrou.
Recently, the OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, organized the Pancyprian School Road Race entitled “Running for my Health”, which gained the participation of 1,300 students and students.
