Since early childhood, we all excitedly look forward to Christmas and New Year celebrations. And even though many of us know that Santa Claus is a children’s story, even as adults we somehow keep the faith that miracles happen at this magical time of the year.
Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation supported the “Radio Marathon of Gratitude” organized on Saturday 19th of December by the Municipality of Ipsonas (Limassol), Little Odysseus educational team and radio station ACTIVE Radio.

It is the 6th year in a row that Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation has been arranging various festive charitable activities during the Christmas and New Year season. In 2020 – a year like no other – the Foundation tripled its efforts to reach the most vulnerable from all circles of Cypriot society.
A few months ago, parents of a young angelic child, Andriana Charalambous, wrote to the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation. They were asking for support in buying the Innowalk Trainer for their daughter, who was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegia (a form of cerebral palsy) at birth.

Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation strongly believes in the therapeutic impact of music in our lives. Children, with their sincerity and innocence, have an amazing connection to the world of feelings and sensations, and therefore can express their inner world through music and dance performance in an astounding way.

This year has opened our eyes to many realities of the modern world. We have become more conscious and, as a result, more responsive and responsible for the impact we make by our actions. The whole planet has been shaken. However, one of the positive outcomes of the controversial 2020, is that all of us started taking great care of ourselves, our close ones, and, in particular, the environment in which we live. We are all so dependent on our surroundings. In order to support this environment, a high level of alertness and real steps are needed.

The year 2020 has become a great challenge for each of us. People lost their jobs, many had to move to a more affordable place to live, health issues have been escalating, and many businesses became bankrupt. Since spring most of us have been experiencing the kind of stress we had never had before, on the other hand, it forced us all to think strategically about how to manage our lives under new conditions.
Dashin’s Foundation supports Limassol disadvantaged families in cooperation with Exinity and Helping Hearts Cyprus
Recently Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation has provided financial support to the Food Bank of Helping Hearts Cyprus, a charitable organization that arranges food package deliveries all over the island. In Limassol alone, there are more than 300 underprivileged families, including many with young children.
It was such a delight to see the beautiful sparkle and curiosity in children’s eyes, as they opened the gifts presented by our Founder Andrey Dashin and his younger daughter Anfisa during their visit to the Playhouse International Nursery in Larnaca.
On the 5th September, the International Day of Charity, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation began a new ‘chain of kindness’ to inspire everyone to be kinder to one another and help when needed. This is a well-known social trend known as #payitforward. Simply, ‘I do a good deed for you, and with reverence, you can do good for someone else’.
