Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation joins forces with the Russian Cultural Center for another concert

Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation and the Russian Cultural Centre (Rossotrudnichestvo) held a great children’s concert featuring the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra, which took place at Pattiheio Limassol Municipal Theatre on 5 October.

The orchestra has been awarded the Nizhny Novgorod Prize as well as the Grand Prix at Russian and international competitions. They do not just perform concerts: the orchestra is known for performing a special kind of spectacle – the defilé – where musicians move at the pace of the music and perform complex acts.

From the first note to the last, the children in the audience were able to recognize their favorite tunes and magical musical images from well-known movies and cartoons.

Founder Julia Dashina stated:

“We are proud to be a general sponsor of the Russian Theatre Seasons in Limassol. In May this year, we supported ‘The Gamblers’, a classic play written by Nikolay Gogol, and the children’s play ‘The Wizard of Oz’.  The new season started in September and we were delighted to invite Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra to Pattiheio Limassol Municipal Theatre in order to bring joy and fun to the children.”

The concert was presented as part of the international program ‘Russian Theatre Seasons in Cyprus’, presented by the Embassy of Russia and the Russian Cultural Centre, which is enjoying its second year on the island under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades.
