The Dashin’s Foundation congratulates veterans of World War II on Victory Day
For the third year in a row, the Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation, together with the Russian House in Cyprus, congratulated war veterans.
Cypriot veterans who fought in the ranks of the British army in Egypt, Greece, and Italy received supermarket vouchers, beautiful grocery bouquets, and letters of thanks.
With the support of the Dashin’s Foundation, congratulations of veterans became an annual tradition in Cyprus, during which veterans of previous wars are shown appreciation. This is especially important to the veterans of the Second World War because every year, unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to some of them.
“Dear veterans, we address you with great gratitude and respect for the peaceful sky overhead. Thank you for being so strong, and brave, not knowing the fear of anything other than defeat. We wish you health, all the very best, and happiness to you and your families. Stay with us as long as possible!”
