A Season of Giving: Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation Spreads Festive Joy Across Cyprus
This December, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation embraced the spirit of the holiday season by continuing its cherished tradition of bringing joy and support to communities across Cyprus. Through a series of heartwarming events, the Foundation touched the lives of children, families, and the elderly, reinforcing its mission of compassion and inclusion.
The festivities began on December 5 with the Foundation sponsoring a lively Christmas Bazaar at Laniteio Lyceum. The event featured an array of engaging activities and a bustling outdoor market where students, including those from the school’s special unit supported by the Foundation, sold handmade crafts and treats to raise funds. The day was vibrant and joyful with a DJ, engaging animators, a captivating bubble show, and various workshops for special unit students, encouraging their growth and celebrating their inclusion in our community. The atmosphere brimmed with creativity, unity, and the joy of giving.
On December 14, the Foundation extended its reach to Paphos, hosting a Christmas event for over 100 children. The celebration was bursting with energy. It featured a lively animated show, Christmas treats, and gift vouchers to make the holiday season even more magical. To top it all off, Santa Claus made a jolly entrance, spreading holiday cheer and smiles everywhere.
The following day, December 15, saw another meaningful celebration at a therapeutic centre in Limassol, where the Foundation sponsors therapy programs for children with diverse needs. Sixteen children and their families gathered for an afternoon of connection and holiday cheer. The event was filled with laughter and wonder, featuring a captivating magic show, entertaining activities with animators, a candy bar, and a special appearance by Santa Claus— Andrey Dashin himself—who delighted the children by presenting wishful gifts.
The festivities continued on December 20 with visits to the special units of Kato Polemidia and Laniteio Lyceums. Andrey Dashin himself, donning the festive garb of Santa Claus, distributed gifts and shared moments of joy with students, spreading the magic of Christmas.
On December 21, Andrey Dashin brought warmth and kindness to the Geiorkeion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residents. The Foundation has supported the centre throughout the year, funding renovations, including a new elevator and air-conditioning units and organizing seasonal events. For many, especially those without family, these moments of connection and care hold immense significance.
The pinnacle of the Foundation’s festive initiatives came on December 22 with the annual Christmas drive. Joined by Exinity’s directorate and their families, all dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, and other themed characters, the team formed a spirited convoy that delivered longing gifts to more than 45 children in Limassol and Nicosia.
Beyond the festive events, the Foundation also upheld its commitment to community welfare through sponsorships and essential donations. Beneficiaries included the Paphos Hospice, Polemidia District residents, 200 destitute families, wards of Funraising Charity Foundation, over 100 families of Ethnarchi Makariou A Lyceum in Paphos, and the 2nd Elementary Public School in Paphos students.
