Inspiring dreams through music and art at the 9th Children’s Cultural Festival

This year’s 9th Children’s Cultural Festival, organized by the Funraising Charity Association, brought Limassol to life with a spectacular showcase of young talent and the power of creative expression. With the Andrey & Julia Dashin Foundation as one of the main sponsors, the event, held at the Pattichion Municipal Theatre on September 28th and 29th, drew an enthusiastic audience, including the Mayor of Limassol and other prominent guests, all united in support of the association’s flagship “Morfosis” scholarship fund.

With the theme “Music: Dreams with Notes,” the festival featured a rich tapestry of performances, workshops, and interactive activities, making it a memorable experience for both children and adults. The event’s main highlight was a captivating storytelling performance by the acclaimed Greek singer Alkistis Protopsalti, accompanied by the renowned children’s choir, “Diastasis”. Their performance, blending music and narrative, served as a powerful tribute to the transformative role of the arts in youth development.

“We are thrilled to have been a part of such a meaningful initiative that not only celebrates the boundless creativity of young minds but also helps ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the dreams of talented students,” said Andrey Dashin, the foundation’s founder, who attended the event and expressed his admiration for the performers’ passion and dedication. “It was a real joy to witness first-hand the vibrant energy and determination of these young artists, reminding us of the lasting impact that collective community efforts can achieve.”

Since its inception, the “Morfosis” scholarship fund has supported 213 students and awarded over €440,000 in scholarships, empowering youth to pursue their educational and artistic ambitions. The Children’s Cultural Festival serves as both a fundraising and awareness platform, emphasizing the importance of investing in youth education and cultural enrichment.

“Our foundation is committed to supporting initiatives like the Fundraising Charity Association’s scholarship fund, as they play a pivotal role in opening doors for the next generation of leaders and creatives,” added Andrey Dashin. “We applaud the association’s remarkable achievements and look forward to seeing them transform even more lives in the future.”

The event’s success underscored the vital role of community engagement and support in nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for future generations. With each performance and activity, the festival served as a testament to the resilience and potential of children, encouraging the community to continue championing similar causes.

The Foundation seeks to empower youth through strategic partnerships and community-based initiatives and support educational and cultural development programs that create lasting social impact.
