Summer in Italy
Trip to Terracina, Italy, July 26-28.
Terracina is an ancient city (half a century older than Rome) on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea and is nowadays considered one of the best resort areas in the Lazio region. Famous for its mild climate and 15 kilometers of beautiful, sandy beaches, Terracino also boasts a number of historical architectural attractions, many of which are from the Roman era. Examples include: the temple to Jupiter Anxurus, parts of the famous Appia road, the “Wheat Tower”(13th century). Additionally, the city served as summer residence for popes until the end of the 19th century.
