The Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation 1km Youth Race was a Great Success

On Saturday, the 18^th of March, the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation hosted the OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO 1km Youth Race where 2,000 children and teenagers from all over Cyprus had the opportunity run across the beautiful Molos promenade and enjoy a day of fun and exercise with their friends and family.

The race began at 11 o’clock in the morning, with founder Julia Dashina and First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus Mrs. Andri Anastasiadis firing the starting pistol and signaling the beginning of the race. Both gave short speeches wishing children the best of luck and praising their efforts in practicing a healthy modus vivendi.

Founder Andrey Dashin also showed his support by running the half marathon the following day, wearing the colors of the Foundation on his back.

After the race, Mrs. Dashina presented the fastest runners with awards and medals, congratulating them on taking first, second and third places in their age group.

The winners of the 2017 Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation 1km Youth Race were:

Boys 6-9 yrs old:

• 1^st place: ALEXANDER RHODES;
• 2^nd place: IOANNIS P’EFTIXIOU;
• 3^rd place: ADONIS ANTONIOU.

Girls 6-9 yrs old:

• 1^st place: NAGIA PAPAGEORGIOU;
• 2^nd place: SOFIA YASCHUK;
• 3^rd place: EVA DEFTERA.

Boys 10-13 yrs old:

• 1^st place: ELIAS X’MINAS;
• 2^nd place: DEMETRIS PRODROMOU;
• 3^rd place: CHARALAMPOS MONOIKOY.

Girls 10-13 yrs old:

• 1^st place: VICTORIA ANDREOU;
• 2^nd place: ANNA-AGGELIKI ZANETOY;
• 3^rd place: KATERINA POSKOUTOVA.

Boys 14-16 yrs old:

• 1^st place: AIMIPIOS NTAMPOUZOV;
• 2^nd place: BOGDAN SHYLOV;
• 3^rd place: MAX HENDERSON.

Girls 14-16 yrs old:

• 1^st place: ANNA MAKOUTIDI;
• 2^nd place: CHARA LOUCA;
• 3^rd place: EIRINI THEODOROU.
