FXTM International Boxing Cup 2013 Finals

Boxing has been one of my favorite sporting activities for more than 20 years now. So, it should come as no surprise that my company FXTM chose to put together an international boxing tournament.

On May 19 the final fights of the FXTM International Boxing Cup 2013 were held at the largest arena in Cyprus, the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center in Limassol. Respected fighters from15 different countries and 3 different continents competed in the tournament, which was sponsored by the European Boxing Confederation, the municipality of Limassol and the Cyprus University of Technology. The event was widely covered in the international press and was watched by viewers of all ages, both at the venue and on TV.

FXTM sponsors a Cypriot fighter named Kyriakos Spanos, and I’m pleased to say that this talented athlete took the gold in the middleweight class. The team from India had the strongest showing at the tournament, taking home a total of 4 gold medals.

I’m very proud that the Cypriot community has recognized some of the contributions I have made to the local sports scene. That’s why, speaking in front of the crowd at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center, I promised that FXTM would provide Cypriots with many more exciting sporting events in the future.
