Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation Supports Back to School Campaign for SOS Children’s Villages Mauritius
As a part of the Back to School Campaign in Mauritius, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation supported SOS Children’s Villages with the aim to cover expenses for school and remedial classes for kids living in the villages. On 31 October, during a visit to SOS Children’s Villages Mauritius at Beau Bassin, Founder Andrey Dashin presented a cheque worth MUR 200,000 to the Managing Director, Mr Amedee Dabeecharun.
Mr. Andrey Dashin commented:
“At the Foundation, we believe that education is knowledge and knowledge is the best gift one can ever give. The academic year in Mauritius begins on 10 January, 2020, when these vulnerable kids at SOS Children’s Villages will be able to start focussing on their studies and shaping their own futures. SOS Villages’ vision to provide family-like care to the children is an innovative concept which is aimed at encouraging further socialisation and better integration of children in the society. I could not pass by such an amazing initiative, and I would like to wish SOS Children’s Villages Mauritius further growth and prosperity.”
The Managing Director of SOS Children’s Villages Mauritius, Mr. Amedee Dabeechurun, kindly showed the villages at Beau Bassin to Mr Dashin, adding:
“Thank you for showing our children that somebody, somewhere cares of them. Your contribution will help in the education of our kids through remedial classes and their school expenditure”.
