Summer camp for teenagers with special needs
Summer is a time for anticipated vacations and unforgettable experiences as schools close and summer camps begin. Unfortunately, some children are unable to attend due to specific needs.
On July 3, the Andrey and Julia Dashin Foundation and Little Odysseus teamed up to launch a two-week summer camp for our lyceum students. The camp was led by the wonderful educational expert Angela Chalkiopoulou, who guided the students on their journey of learning and discovery — the project aimed to provide an engaging holiday experience for all children.
The children had a fantastic experience with a program packed with exciting activities and thrilling discoveries. They got to meet various book characters, play games, explore a theatre museum, try their hands at clay modelling, attend master classes in photography, and visit a beautiful botanical garden and a gallery. On the final day of the camp, the children proudly showcased their photography work.
The experience was truly unforgettable and played a critical role in their social and cultural development. Dashin’s Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to diverse opportunities for growth and are exposed to positive emotions and experiences. It strives to do everything in its power to achieve this goal. Because moments like these leave a lasting impact and shape who we are as individuals.
