Grandmaster Sergey Karyakin Extends Partnership with Alpari in Preparation of World Chess Crown
Providing brilliant young minds with the support they need in order for them to excel in what they do best is one of the most satisfying feelings, especially if those minds have the chance to bring to your country the great honour of being crowned the world champion in their field.
The journey of Sergey Karyakin and Alpari began when he was just starting out as a Grandmaster, and it’s amazing how much he has achieved in just 4 years. This year saw our young sportsman seize the win in the Canditates Tournament in Moscow which opened the path to the ultimate chess event and the chance at the World Title on December 31st. A challenge for which Alpari will once again stand by Sergey’s side, aiding him throughout the preparations until the grand event.
Honours to the young victor for his recent achievement came from the Russian Minister for Sport, Vitaliy Mutko, who also congratulated him and expressed thanks to Alpari for the ongoing support we have provided to both Sergey and the sport of chess over the last few years.
It’s a huge honour to be able to watch a young passionate sportsman evolve so much in only a few years, knowing that your support and belief in his talents played a role in his achievements today and the ones to come in the future.
