Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation ‘s ‘Chain of Kindness’

On the 5th September, the International Day of Charity, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation began a new ‘chain of kindness’ to inspire everyone to be kinder to one another and help when needed. This is a well-known social trend known as #payitforward. Simply, ‘I do a good deed for you, and with reverence, you can do good for someone else’.

Dashin’s Foundation paid it forward by covering the cost of all coffee ordered in Coffee Island on Makarios Avenue, Limassol, on 5th September between ‪9 am and 12 pm.  About 600 cups of coffee have become a pleasant occasion to think about important things.

Next to the cashier, who kindly informed all the customers that their coffee had been already paid for, we organized a ‘bowl of kindness’ with simple ideas for the coffee shop guests to pay it forward themselves. The feedback was amazing! Such a kind reminder made people smile and encouraged them to share sympathy and goodwill.

Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation believes that sometimes a helping hand is worth a fortune. Small acts of kindness such as helping with heavy bags, sharing food, encouragement, or even just listening to someone in need truly makes a difference. A sincere, unexpected and thus beautifully unselfish deed towards someone who needs it – this makes our lives meaningful, purposeful and truly powerful!
