“Back to school” charity campaign
School days are, supposedly, the happiest days of our lives. They are our chance to fill our brains with valuable knowledge, make wonderful discoveries, and form life-long friendships.
But for some parents, back to school is a stressful time – forcing them to make difficult choices between basic needs provisions and school supplies due to lack of money. These mothers and fathers may be refugees, they might be unemployed following the pandemic, they could be victims of domestic abuse or fighting a critical illness. Some are single parents, and some are struggling to make ends meet due to the large size of their families.
In order to support all these families, the “Back to school” charity campaign has been initiated in cooperation with our long-term partner, Cradle of Hope Association, whereby its volunteers and employees of Exinity have once again joined forces to assist families in need. The money raised by the staff was used to purchase clothes, shoes, and backpacks for needy families.
“We are grateful to the Dashin’s Foundation, which, within the framework of their corporate social responsibility and internal company policy, actively and passionately promotes volunteerism and encourages employees to participate in the Foundation’s charitable projects, thereby making the work as efficient as possible,” said the founder of the Cradle of Hope Association.
The entire Russian-speaking community of the island also took an active part. Thanks to these united efforts, not only were the necessary school supplies provided to the families initially included in the lists but also extended to any families who requested help throughout the campaign.
We wish all students every success in the new academic year!
