Andrey Dashin visited SOS Children’s Village in Mauritius
Our founders’ passion and genuine love for what they do, go beyond the geography of Cyprus. Charmed by the stunning scenery, fascinating history, and incredible kindness of the local citizens, in 2019, Andrey and Julia Dashin launched a Foundation branch in Mauritius to get involved with the people of the region and help alleviate the struggles or suffering they may be going through. Following the establishment of the branch, they engaged in a fruitful collaboration with a Mauritius branch of one of the most prominent international NGOs, Lions Clubs International. An organization of caring people joined together who take action to make their community better, leading by example, building relationships, and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
On October 8, accompanied by Exinity employees and representatives of the NGO Lions Club Port Louis Doyen, Andrey Dashin visited SOS Children’s Village in Mauritius. This shelter has become a loving and caring home for children who have lost their parents and those at risk of abandonment or living in highly vulnerable circumstances. Today, SOS Children’s Villages supports thousands of needy children, young people, and families in 136 countries and territories. Their care solutions include alternative care, aftercare, family strengthening, advocacy, and partnership for quality care.
Dashin’s Foundation contributed to renovating the shared space area, where children enjoy gathering and socializing. Andrey Dashin gladly joined the shelter’s little residents in painting the outdoor terrace to brighten it with cheerful colours and palm prints as a symbol of humanity and companionship. As a gesture of appreciation, a commemorative plaque acknowledging the contribution of the Foundation has been installed. Upon completion of the ceremony, children received school supplies following a celebratory lunch with treats.
“What a soulful Saturday morning spent for the common good with wonderful little companions! Children are so good at teaching us how to open up to this world, be happy for no specific reason, and live in the moment. Even short time spent with them is a time of great joy, precious insights, and warm memories,” commented on his participation Andrey Dashin.
