My birthday celebrations took place on July 12, near the famous Cypriot town of Paphos at the InterContinental Hotel in the Aphrodite Hills Resort.

The venue for the celebrations was not chosen by accident. The hotel has a colonial style interior and the windows open onto a breathtaking view of the greens of a golf course, the Mediterranean Sea and magnificent scenery.

In a heartwarming tradition, colleagues from Alpari and FXTM, close friends and business partners from Moscow, Kazan and from many towns in Cyprus came to celebrate my birthday.

The festivities started with the top managers from Alpari joining me in a 10km morning run. The route took us from the hotel to a lake, up and down some hills. The sports program continued with some battles on the hotel’s tennis courts.

In the evening, we gathered in the hotel’s reception room. The party was filled with exciting games and contests in which all the guests took part. The program also included a spectacular “Burlesque” show, a jazz band and a cigar break. The event closed with the guests greeting the sunset in the open air.
