Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation Partners with the IX Cyprus-Russian Festival

The Limassol Municipal Park hosted a very successful IX Cyprus-Russian Festival on June 14 and 15, 2014. This celebration has been taking place each year since 2005 with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Mayor of Limassol and draws a large number of residents and guests to the town.

Two months after the launch of our Foundation in Cyprus, we took the decision to sponsor this prominent cultural event and become a partner.

As part of the festival, the Foundation supported two children’s areas, one of which held one of the most popular contests – “Paint the Matryoshka”.

Also, we took it upon ourselves to organize a charity event collecting funds in aid of the Association of Foster Families “Folia Agapis”. Our own charity fund also made a contribution, increasing the amount collected to 4,000 Euros which was given to the head of the association.

The Cyprus-Russian Festival has been an important and prestigious event for some time, gathering not only Cypriots and Russian expats but representatives from other countries and nationalities too. I am happy that Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation could do our bit in adding to the colorful cultural life of the island.
