Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation supports Limassol Municipality’s “Free Hands” program for Christmas
On the 20th of December, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation attended the Christmas Ceremony made for children and teenagers who are looked after by volunteers of the “Free Hands” program, a social initiative run by the Limassol Municipality. Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation delivered a huge variety of requested board games, as well as table tennis paddles and balls, volleyballs, and footballs with Goal Nets.
The “Free Hands” is an afterschool youth program aimed at providing moral and financial support to children from low-income families by providing free lunch, free tutoring for their school studies as well as creative workshops like painting, theatre and crafts. The “Free Hands” program is also responsible for organizing various educational and recreational tours and visits for underprivileged children who are under their program, as well as giving unemployed mothers the opportunity to integrate or reintegrate into the labor market by providing part-time employment opportunities.
Efi Charalambous, administrator of the “Free Hands” program, thanked Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation for their contribution by stating:
“We thank you once again for giving your support to the “Free Hands” program through your generous contributions of educational board games and other toys. Your support is of high value to us.”
Founder Julia Dashina, expressed her joy by commenting:
“Adhering to the needs of the children under the “Free Hands” program gives us an opportunity to add the magic of Christmas and spread a little happiness to those in need. There is no better reward than seeing a child’s smile and knowing that our contribution will help to better their lives in the coming year”.
