Sponsoring a day of fun and adventure for Unaccompanied Girls
On the 11th of May, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Services, organized a day of fun and adventure for 19 unaccompanied minor girls in beautiful Platres.
The Foundation hired a big bus to take the children to the largest mountain range in Cyprus. Here, they discovered nature during a beautiful walk, saw Cyprus’s tallest waterfall, enjoyed a magnificent trip around the botanical gardens and toured the central square just below the highest mountain in Cyprus.
With this year’s campaign moto, “make a positive change”, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation remains committed to its key objectives of extending a helping hand to anyone in need and providing direct relief to children who come from underprivileged backgrounds.
Founder Andrey Dashin commented that, “It is a privilege to be in a position to help these children, who, despite their young age, have been forced to grow up very quickly and survive under extremely dire conditions. To be able to offer them some positive memories and provide a sense of normalcy is a huge impact on the lives of these girls. We feel extremely blessed for this opportunity and we strongly encourage everyone in a position of advantage to follow this example”
It is worth noting that, last May, the Foundation organized an exciting day out at an Adventure Mountain Park for 39 unaccompanied minor boys from the “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center children’s shelter.
*Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation would especially like to thank the “Psilo Dendro” Tavern for generously preparing lunch for everyone involved.
