Christmas Parcels for Families In Need in Collaboration with Cyprus Red Cross
Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation joins forces with Cyprus Red Cross for the fourth year in a row, in order to help disadvantaged families and their children spend the Christmas holidays. This year’s campaign runs at Red Cross Limassol Branch throughout December with an aim to provide special festive food and parcels full of necessities to around 600 families in need.
Founder Andrey Dashin commented on the Foundation’s support by stating:
“Christmas is a special time to spread joy and give back to the community, the time when families gather around the festive table and give presents to each other. We know firsthand that many families with children don’t have an opportunity to buy even inexpensive food for this special occasion. We hope that with these parcels we are providing through our longtime partnership – Cyprus Red Cross Limassol Branch – the families and their children will be able to fully enjoy Christmas time.”
Red Cross Limassol Branch President, Mrs. Niki Hadjitsangari added:
“Every year Cyprus Red Cross Limassol Branch is preparing between 2,500 to 3,000 packets or boxes filled with food that are offered throughout the year to less privileged fellow citizens of Limassol, a great number of these at Christmas and Easter. It is with great gratitude that we at Red Cross Limassol have received this year a very kind and generous contribution towards this, therefore the Christmas packets that the Red Cross is preparing will be sponsored by Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation as part of a big sponsorship that we have received from them. All these parcels will make Christmas for about 600 families more enjoyable. On behalf of the less privileged people of Limassol we at Red Cross Limassol are grateful to Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation for their Christmas spirit of giving.”
The Limassol Branch of the Cyprus Red Cross Society (C.R.C.S.) was founded in 1950. Its first President was Mrs Lella Cacoyianni. She was succeeded by Amarandi Shitta, Ino Zachariades, Evangelitsa Marcoulli, Stathoula Sykopetriti and Niki Hadjitsangari. The Limassol Branch has been very active all these years. Since 2012, the Branch is housed at its own premises situated at 119 Ayias Phylaxeos street, offering foodstuffs, clothing and footwear items, baby food, toys, and above all, much needed moral support and love.
