The Dashin’s Foundation delighted the children island-wide with a thematic Easter quest “Alice in Wonderland”

Every year we look forward to Easter, a holiday of spring, which brings happiness and peace to every home. And part of what makes it such a special occasion is the chance for us and our little friends – wards of the Foundation, to get together and spend time in each other’s company, share the festive mood, vivid impressions and positive emotions.

The Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, in cooperation with its ideological inspirer and partner Little Odysseus, prepared an unforgettable Easter program for children. This year we also invited children and their families who arrived at the island recently and so were in particular need of support and positive emotions. The theme of this year’s program was “Alice in Wonderland”.

On a sunny morning on April 16, on a green lawn of a Limassol Municipal University Library under the clear blue sky, our small guests went to the magical Through the Looking-Glass together with the mischievous Alice and the zany Hatter. In addition to various exciting thematic quests, active and educational games, as well as other entertainment, children were given a master class on making a symbol of peace – a dove from clay. The kids had a great time sharing bright emotions and making new friends.

Since Easter is a family holiday, we wanted to make sure the parents were looked after, too.  While the children were busy with the special entertainment, all the parents were able to chat together, before being plunged into an exciting game by one of the parents, followed by a master class held by our psychologist Victoria and a buffet.

The purpose of such events is not only to bring participants together and immerse everybody in an atmosphere of warmth and support but also to unite everyone. This year was especially heartfelt.

The Foundation expresses gratitude to the Limassol Municipality for their support and Georgia Kontolemi for her active participation in the event, as well as Angela Chalkiopoulou, wonderful animators from Masterland and all the volunteers. Together we filled this day with currently needed for many support, love and warmth. Positive emotions and fond memories will remain with the participants and organizers, warming hearts.
