October is known globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year, Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation collaborated with Europa Donna Cyprus in efforts to support patients dealing with breast cancer and their families.
The employees at FXTM (one of Mr. Dashin’s forex companies) did their share in raising awareness for the cause by organising the ‘Wear it Pink Friday’ day and sharing pictures on social media as well as purchasing Europa Donna’s exclusive PINK items in efforts to raise money for the Cyprus based NGO.
At the moment, breast cancer is still the number one cause of death in Cyprus, with symptoms presenting in one out of eight women. Ongoing research, prevention campaigns, early diagnosis, new target drugs and specialised treatment have boosted the survival rate of breast cancer patients in Cyprus up to 80%.
All proceeds collected from the PINK items will go towards the efforts of the NGO to provide breast cancer sufferers from all over the island with psychological support and special items that can improve their quality of life. Founders Andrey and Julia Dashin personally contributed to the campaign, donating a sum of 560 EUR, raising the total amount of donation to 1,000 EUR.
