Dashin’s Foundation Christmas Campaign 2020 began with a contribution to the Cyprus Red Cross Society, in cooperation with volunteers from Exinity
It is the 6th year in a row that Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation has been arranging various festive charitable activities during the Christmas and New Year season. In 2020 – a year like no other – the Foundation tripled its efforts to reach the most vulnerable from all circles of Cypriot society.
Dashin’s Foundation has been successfully collaborating with the Cyprus Red Cross for many years. This December, next to our financial contribution to the Limassol branch of the organization, we were delighted to help arrange volunteers for the preparation of Christmas parcels for schools and diabetic people, as well as preparation of gifts for children based on their age and gender.
On Saturday, 12 December, 10 volunteers from Exinity assisted Red Cross social workers with incredible enthusiasm, and prepared parcels for further distribution during the Christmas season. People were split into groups and came at different times as a safety measure for social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Even though it was intense work that required full personal dedication, volunteers felt strong unity and partnership with others as they worked towards a common goal, for the common good.
One of the volunteers, Ntaniella Kyriakidou emphasized: «It is a great pleasure to be able to be a part of something so touching,- helping the Red Cross to pack food boxes for those who are less fortunate and in need. It truly makes me realize how blessed I am to have options in life and basic necessities. It comes from my heart when I say it is truly grounding me».
Another volunteer, Ramazan Shomahov, also expressed gratitude: «Amazing experience! Thank you, Dashin’s Foundation and Red Cross Limassol for organizing and for all your hard work. It was very touching to see how everyone was filling the boxes doing that with all the love and care, trying to prepare everything best way possible. Looking forward to participating again!»
Worthy of note, Exinity employees have also supported this fantastic cause by donating 30 boxes of toys and clothes in good condition, which will be transported to the Red Cross Limassol Branch in due course.
